Last updated: 6 March 2026

Renewables Marketplace provides energy tariff estimates for informational purposes only. We are not a regulated energy adviser and nothing on this site should be treated as financial, legal, or professional advice.

Estimates Are Approximate

The annual cost and savings figures shown on this site are modelled estimates. They are calculated using assumptions about your energy consumption patterns, solar generation based on regional averages, and battery storage behaviour. Your actual costs will differ depending on real-world weather conditions, your specific usage habits, the time of year you switch, and changes to tariff rates after you sign up.

Tariff Data Accuracy

We make every reasonable effort to keep tariff rates accurate and up to date. Rates are sourced from publicly available supplier information and are verified regularly. However, energy suppliers may change their rates at any time, and there may be a delay between a rate change and our site reflecting it. Always confirm the current rate directly with the supplier before switching.

Not Financial Advice

The comparisons and recommendations on this site are not financial advice. They are automated calculations based on the information you provide. You should carry out your own research, review the full terms and conditions of any tariff, and seek independent professional advice if you are unsure whether a particular tariff is right for you.

Affiliate Relationships

Renewables Marketplace may earn a commission from energy suppliers when you click through an affiliate link and sign up for a tariff. This does not affect the price you pay, and our results are ranked by estimated cost to you — not by the amount of commission we receive. Where a link is an affiliate link, this is indicated on the site.

Solar & Battery Modelling

Solar generation estimates are based on PVGIS v5.3 (EU Joint Research Centre) multi-year averages for your region. These represent typical conditions, not a guarantee of output. Battery simulation uses a blending factor (battery effectiveness of 70%) to account for real-world variability including weather, inverter losses, and imperfect scheduling. Heat pump modelling is calibrated against published UK trial data but individual performance will vary based on property insulation, heat pump model, and heating habits.

Third-Party Links

This site contains links to energy supplier websites and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites. When you leave Renewables Marketplace via a link, the privacy policy and terms of the destination site apply.

This site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Renewables Marketplace and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this site, including any financial loss resulting from switching energy tariff based on our estimates.
